I just uploaded the last episode of my podcast for the year 2022. It is so hard to believe that this year is over. In a few days a new year will begin. I have thought a lot about what I hope to see in this new year for my podcast. Being a podcaster has been a new chapter of my life, and one that I have thoroughly enjoyed and fretted over at the same time. It has been a lot of work, a lot of planning and a lot of determination.
In podcasting I have learned to listen more. I have learned to have more empathy. There are so many people who have life stories of resilience, courage, and determination. I have been humbled by hearing their stories. I stand in awe of how they have overcome and have become a better person for it.
It is hard for me to pick a favorite episode. There are so many that I have truly enjoyed doing. If I had to choose, I would have to say the episode with Erik Allen. It was such an inspiration to hear his story and how God met him at his lowest to make him the man he is today. He has his own podcast and business. He is truly an inspiration to other men of what God can do through a person who is willing to trust God and go the way he desires.
The episode that I really had a lot of fun with was the episode with Dea Irby. She has so many funny stories about moving all over the country and her many adventures. I would love to have visited her Tea Room and listened to her many stories about raising her children, meeting different people and how God worked in amazing ways in her life.
Every episode is dear to me. Every guest is unique and important. At the same point, every listener is dear to my heart. You are why I do what I do as a podcaster.
I pray that as we approach the year 2023 you will find the peace of God and will grow in a deeper way in your walk with him. If you don't know him, he is waiting to get to know you. God is amazing. He is all powerful and insightful. He is right there at the mention of his name: Jesus.
Be safe. Be yourself. Be loved.
